Band: ALLER STERNE UNTERGANG
Title: Auf den Schwingen meiner Sehnsucht
Style: Depressive Black Metal
Ok, new album from ASU, and we get the same 6 tracks in 66 minutes of playing time, which turn into a pattern for the band actually, a nice find. The production on the calm, acoustic / semi-acoustic parts of the album is much better and the impact on the listener is way deeper, but when the riffs kick in also that freezing cold, sharp, blunt production kicks in, and actually this time sounds more natural. The only problem that remains to be fixed are the abrupt crossings between these different parts, they sound like totally different tracks, so if Astro learns how to blend them in better it will only do him and his project good. The music is composed in 2010 and 2018, and there are no obvious differences in composition, but somehow it all sounds more cared for, like Astro was more careful with details and better in execution (you're not worried anymore he'll miss a note or something and it will sound amateurish). Well, there's also a feeling that some tracks are artificially enlarged to fit the pattern I was mentioning before, but I guess it wouldn't be possible to come up with 66 tracks in 6 minutes, right? All in all the improvement is visible/audible, but there's still serious room for further improvement.
