Title: Attraction of Death
Label: Wings of Destruction
Year: 2021
Style: Thrash Metal

After replacing their drummer with Aira Deathstorm who did drums for Nervosa live in 2016, Beer Blast present their first material recorded with this new line-up, a 4 tracks EP clocking 20 minutes of playing time. I'd say Tankard mostly but also the whole German Thrash Metal scene of the '80's are the main influences in Beer Blast's music, but to be honest I also felt a strong Motorhead vibe on the last two tracks of the EP, especially on the last one, Always on the Road. Overall the EP is fun to play, full of juicy guitar riffs, interesting leads (see teh title track)heavy rhythm section blasting it mainly mid-tempo but with some killer fast paced outbursts, too, and a throaty, raspy vocal that gives rawness to the whole. Although it doesn't break any boundaries (and I don't even think they intend to anyways), Attraction of Death is a fine slice of Thrash Metal with organic and careful production and serious attention to details that makes it sound honest and convincing, I'm sure fans of old-school Thrash Metal will certainly appreciate it.
