Please tell us a few words about the new release, about the music on it as a whole or a few words on each track in part. How are you happy with the final release?
Our latest and first release is a promo-EP called Scenophiliac, released in July 2015. It includes 5 songs plus a symphonic intro. You may see it as a collection of short stories illustrated with music, each one with colors that best suit characters and situations suggested by the lyrics. We do not put boundaries to our musical style, embracing every influence that sounds good to us and is effective in telling the lyrics’ story, so you may find a lot of different nuances in just six tracks.
We tend to be quite perfectionists, so there will always be something we would like to improve, but altogether we are very satisfied with the songs, sounding just as we had in mind.

How would you describe/label the music on it? Does it sounds like anything we might have heard before?
Our music can be basically labelled as gothic/symphonic metal, with a strong influence from classical music and opera. It may remind the listeners some of our favourite bands (Nigtwish, After Forever, Within Temptation, Epica, Tristania…), however we try to combine our ideas and influences into a personal, distinctive sound.

Where was it recorded and how much time did it take you to record it? Any interesting stories from the recording/producing the material?
It was recorded almost entirely in our drummer’s home studio, for  flute and oboe tracks we chose a local reharsal room. Recording sessions began already late 2013, we took the time to check and reconsider our work before we labelled a track as “good to go”, since we wanted to be fully satisfied with the result. We also had some line-up changes since the beginning of recordings: guitar tracks recorded by Edoardo are actually the third version of guitars, that developed and improved guitarist after guitarist; and bass tracks were all recorded by our previous bass player, so Claudio is eager to record something new so that he can have his name on the release.

What can you tell us about the cover artwork? Is there a link between the artwork and the lyrics? What are the topics of your lyrics?
The artwork was made by a friend, and is related to the title-track Scenophiliac, a reflection about the paradox of authenticity in a world where people metaphorically play roles and wear masks in many situations of everyday’s life, while artistic fiction offers a sanctuary for expressing even the most intimate and repressed part of one’s self. All people experience this sort of “play-act fetish”, only the artist benefits from it.
Our lyrics play with this concept a lot, going from autobiographical experiences and reflections about life, art and spirituality to reinterpretation of literary or imaginary characters.

What do you expect to gain through this release? What are the band's aims at the moment?
The main purpose of this release was to introduce our music to people, presently our aims are gathering feedbacks about our music from press and public, play live shows wherever we can and let people have as much fun with our music as we have making it.

Is there a special format the material is released in? Or is it released in multiple formats? How many copies were pressed?
We released Scenophiliac exclusively in mp3, because this is how most people, us in the first place, listen to music today. Plus, we wanted our promo-EP to be easy to get and totally free, because we believe public deserves a free tasting of what we do before we ask them to pay for it.

Where and how will you promote this new release?
We are promoting it on the web, mainly on social networks, and we wish to promote it a lot on stage, with live shows all around Italy

Where can we order it from?
Being free, there is no ordering, but you can download Scenophiliac  on www.soundcloud.com/bleedingzero and www.reverbnation.com/bleedingzero , you can also find the songs reposted on our facebook page (www.facebook.com/BleedingZero).
