Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
DRÅP is a death/crust band from a small town called Sundsvall in Sweden with members from bands like Decomposed and Legium. We all wanted to play very aggressive music and this is a project when the singer Joachim lyngfelt is mainly writing everything, which began to take root in autumn 2013.
How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
Aggressive. The music is very inspired by bands like Deathspell Omega, Portal and also Skitsystem.
Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
It is so easy for bands today to just copy a style and just go for it, instead of trying to create something unique.
DRÅP is has a very different style compared to every metal band out there. Listen to the album and try to just put one genre to it. The lyrics on the album is not only about death, it is very personal stuff about a period of joachim when his mother passed away from cancer. Very real.
What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
The first debut album "En Naturlig Död" (A Natural Death) will be released on EMF-records and thats it. We did a demo but we never released it through a label.
Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
DRÅP is a pretty new band and have so far been focused on playing live-shows and doing it very hard. We´ve got alot of good reactions at the shows.
What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
We are an incredible liveband who have different message than politics or death. Aggressive, dark music that is real.
What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
We plan much on touring after we have promote the album enough. Right now we have a couple of festival and single club-gigs ahead of us.
Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
We´ve released a music video for the track "Preparat": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lj0jajUEa1A
You will find our album on EMF-records: http://www.facebook.com/emfrecords
