Please tell us a few words about the new release, about the music on it as a whole or a few words on each track in part. How are you happy with the final release?
In 2015 Emphasis signed a record deal for their debut full-length album release with Italian label Underground Symphony.
Underground Symphony Records was established in 1994 and specializes in such genres as power metal and symphonic metal. Over the years the label had a collaboration with such groups as the Labyrinth, Skylark, Powerquest, Shadow Of Steel, Cryonic Temple, White Skull, Doomsword and Sabaton.
LP “Revival” consists of 8 songs and one bonus track and it is a masterpiece for fans of Within Temptation, Nightwish and Opeth. The album released on April 15, 2016 in deluxe digipack edition through Underground Symphony Records (Italy).
The record is is full of  perfect balanced beauty between the complexity of musical structures and elegant harmonies.
'Revival' delivers epic solo's, thunderous drums, dynamically-electric atmospherics and vocals so angelic, they would have had to be made in heaven to be this captivating. With this effort, Emphasis clearly have a vision to follow and by doing so, will ultimately establish themselves as Estonia's long awaited answer to Nightwish.“ – Global Metal Apocalypse, UK
The opening and one of the strongest tracks of the album „On the Wings of freedom“ sounds like powerfull prologue for whole record. Middle eastern touch to "Running Man" works very well with chugging riffs. “Blind Faith” shows the progressive side of the band, especially in the short instrumental part in the beginning of this very energetic song. “Death Itself” sounds more sober, but it contains some nice mood changes later on. "Every Time" is totally different from all the other songs of the album. It sounds like powerful pop-rock ballad with operatic vocals and saxophone trills.  “Hate Is All You Left For Me” is darker and slower. It sounds very melancholic, as the title suggests already. As band members mark, the most representative song of the record is a song called “Emptiness”. It represents the music style as it was in the past and how it has changed. So with this song you can imagine what you can wait from Emphasis in the future. „Shadow falls“ closes the album. In this song we can catch the light notes of classical art rock brought by electronic organ passages.

How would you describe/label the music on it? Does it sounds like anything we might have heard before?
Music is a synthesis of powerful classical harmonies, expressive heavy guitar riffs, unique rhythmic traditions, delicate melodic sequences and powerful operatic vocals from their amazing front woman Anna Ganina. It’s perfect mix of old school progressive metal with temperamental symhonic touches.

Where was it recorded and how much time did it take you to record it? Any interesting stories from the recording/producing the material?
Revival is the album that was completely made in Estonia. This LP was recorded and mixed by guitarist of Emphasis Mr. Pavel Korotaev. It was quit hard process of making this album during two years, actually. When Anna Ganina joined, the band made a decsion to adapt old material under her voice.

What can you tell us about the cover artwork? Is there a link between the artwork and the lyrics? What are the topics of your lyrics?
All Illustrations for the booklet prepared by Estonian photographer Lika Nakolyushkina. Layout and design of the booklet engaged by Darius Alas from Midiankai Arts Studio. Even the landscape that decorates our cover shoted on the Stroomi Beach in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia.
Lyrics were written by 4 different authors, including bassist Katya Gritskova. All the songs are about human feelings, emotions, about lif and death.

What do you expect to gain through this release? What are the band's aims at the moment?
“Revival” is debut full-length album of Estonian female fronted progressive metal band Emphasis.  This is the first major work passed through the thorny path and finally came out on the market. This record perfectly shows the technical skills of musicians.
At the moment, the band is focused on totally new material, which promises to be more sober, conceptual and complexly structured. In August 2016 Emphasis will go back to the studio to bring to life all of their wildest musical ideas.

Is there a special format the material is released in? Or is it released in multiple formats? How many copies were pressed?
