Please tell us a few words about the new release, about the music on it as a whole or a few words on each track in part. How are you happy with the final release?
'Priests of Annihilation' is the concerted effort of planning and cutting the fat off of already great tunes. The tunes go from simple, bluesy phrases, to extreme technical compositions. We are EXTREMELY happy with how the final release came out! Hopefully, everyone else will also!
How would you describe/label the music on it? Does it sounds like anything we might have heard before?
I would say that if Morbid Angel, Origin, Dissection, and Emperor had a bastard/brain dead child together, Enthean would be it's name.
Where was it recorded and how much time did it take you to record it? Any interesting stories from the recording/producing the material?
The guitars were recorded at Central Studios, the vocals at Entropy Studios, and the drums were recorded by the famous Bob Moore at Soundlab Studios. It took roughly a year to record, mix, master, and analyze all the details of the album.
What can you tell us about the cover artwork? Is there a link between the artwork and the lyrics? What are the topics of your lyrics?
The artwork was conceptualized by Adam and Brian and was a visual metaphor for the Divine Council and it's judgment on the universe. When Marco Hasmann and his infinite genius sent us this album art, we were blown away! The artwork also makes use of our original three monks on our demo. The artwork is linked to the song 'Dysthanasia' and how it is necessary to summon the priests of annihilation.
The topics of our lyrics are generally a mythologization of real events in my life and mythology in general.
What do you expect to gain through this release? What are the band's aims at the moment?
Of course, we hope to gain new fans, but overall, a better appreciation for the bands whom we've idolized. They've sacrificed a lot to give us what we have and we are going to do the same. We aim to entertain and enlighten!
Is there a special format the material is released in? Or is it released in multiple formats? How many copies were pressed?
'Priests of Annihilation' will be released digitally and on CD. No other formats have been chosen as of yet and we're starting with 100 copies.
Where and how will you promote this new release?
We've hired a reliable and hard-working PR firm. With their help, we should have about 45% of the internet flooded with Enthean promotions by the release date!
Where can we order it from?
You can place pre-orders for the album at Enthean.bandcamp.com!
