Please tell us a few words about the new release, about the music on it as a whole or a few words on each track in part. How are you happy with the final release?
"Passages to lunacy" is a full length split album featuring Epi-demic and Solanum. The music contained within is a blend of crossover/thrash metal that will leave the listener pummeled and begging for more! We are very pleased with the release, everything from the music to the layout of the album and the artwork.

How would you describe/label the music on it? Does it sounds like anything we might have heard before?
I would describe Epi-demic's sound on this album as powerful, unpredictable, and intense. We draw influence from crossover/thrash/nyhc music so you might be reminded of bands like Cro-Mags, Artillery, Broken Bones, English Dogs, Crumbsuckers etc.

Where was it recorded and how much time did it take you to record it? Any interesting stories from the recording/producing the material?
We recorded the album at our rehearsal space over a few days in June 2014. Our friend at VOL4 productions was able to bring all the equipment right to us, which was awesome. It was great creating a raw sound in a room we know really well.

What can you tell us about the cover artwork? Is there a link between the artwork and the lyrics? What are the topics of your lyrics?
The cover art is an amazing piece of work done by Jon Mayo. I think it really encompasses the feeling of the album...absolute insanity. Our lyrics deal with the madness of reality and how crazy and sick this world can be, so i would say that the artwork and the lyrics go hand in hand.

What do you expect to gain through this release? What are the band's aims at the moment?
This release will hopefully get more exposure for the band on a much wider scale than ever before. Our aims at the moment are to promote this release while continuing work on a new full length album and tour the east side of Canada and the U.S. this summer.

Is there a special format the material is released in? Or is it released in multiple formats? How many copies were pressed?
The album is currently available only on CD. 500 copies were pressed.

Where and how will you promote this new release?
We are promoting the album in partnership with Horror Pain Gore Death Productions and Clawhammer PR. We will promote this album anywhere underground metal music is being featured.
