Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
We first started jamming with Josh, Heyab and myself around 2011. Nothing was serious at this point we just enjoyed playing together and then as time went on started writing some songs and realized "hey, we should start a band". We looked to find a drummer that we knew but to no avail. We started looking on kijiji for potential drummers and after a few auditions we were introduced to Chris around 2013. We started jamming and writing songs until we had about 8 or 9 songs written then decided "hey, we should start playing some shows". We played our first show in January 2015 and things started moving forward. We were playing shows every other month on average until we were introduced to Mike at Sonic Zen Studios who helped us record our first single Traffic. It was at this point that Heyab decided to move on to other things and so we decided to continue as a three piece for the time being. After a few months we decided to bring Jordan into the mix. After practicing and working hard for 6 months we came to the conclusion that our current drummer Ryley was much better suited to play the kind of music we're playing, so we made an extremely difficult decision to introduce him to the band as our drummer. After practicing for a couple months Jordan decided to do his own thing with his band Arid Detox so now we're down to three members again.
How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
I'd say were a fusion of old school metal combined with rock and an element of progressive. We were heavily influenced by bands like Metallica and Iron Maiden in the beginning. From there we decided to write songs that we personally enjoyed, regardless of what style of genre came out of it.
Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
The album is very diverse. There are songs to please metalheads, rockers and everyone in between. We have a good fusion of rock/metal/progressive and it's something that everyone should hear at least once.
What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
We have released an old demo CD about a year ago and we just released our first EP "Kazador" this past week. The EP has seen good reviews so far and we are excited to get it out there.
Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
We play a London show on average every other month, usually with a good turnout. Playing live is one of my favourite parts of being in a band.
What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
We can bring a crowd. We have a diverse sound. We have songs that are radio friendly and songs that appeal to the average person. I think with proper exposure people would enjoy our music very much.
What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
We will be writing songs for a new album as well as playing shows on a fairly frequent basis. Follow the band on Facebook/Instagram to see upcoming shows
Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
You can listen to a couple songs on bandcamp or buy the album there. Also available on iTunes, Spotify and CDbaby
