Please tell us a few words about the new release, about the music on it as a whole or a few words on each track in part. How are you happy with the final release?
A quick rundown of the tracks on Echoes.
Animal: This is the often an opener for us because it just seems to work well to get the blood flowing.  It is a shorter, to the point kind of song about the inherent conflict between the hopes of one’s spirit and the despairs and limitations of the physical self.  It is about being human.  “The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak” as the old saying goes.
Spider: A tune which has piles of energy and is quite tricky to play.  Cool slap bass groove under the harmony solo on this one.  This is a good one to learn if you want to give your fingers a good stretch.
Secrets: I cannot tell you what this is about. Moody instrumental to cleanse the palette.
Full Circle: This is another track that can really test one’s stamina to play through.  Driving grooves and some unusual rhythms under some very powerful vocal lines.  The one might be about realizing that you don’t know as much as you think you do.
Somber:  Title says it all.  This a haunting clean track which still has teeth. Great vocal lines and harmonies and some very cool guitar breaks.  Rumored to be about the fear that always lies just beneath the surface.
Crucible:  Heavy Groove Metal.  Blown Vocal Chords.  Progressive Sludge.
Bittersweet: One of our favorites.  Cool sullen vibe that builds throughout.  Very cool instrumental section. Betrayal is at the heart of this tune.
July 4: A very personal tribute.  Deep and involved both lyrically and musically.
Echoes/Moon: The title track and the album outro.  This track has a little of everything.  Mood with attitude, power and groove, bit of harmony shredding, great syncopated rhythm section.  Ties up the disc nicely with a bit of a question mark.

How would you describe/label the music on it? Does it sounds like anything we might have heard before?
The best we can come up with is progressive, thrashy, groovy, and heavy.  Fans of time changes and rhythmically aggressive riffing should like it.

Where was it recorded and how much time did it take you to record it? Any interesting stories from the recording/producing the material?
The recording took place over a fairly extended time.  Working with Neil Kernon meant that we had to synchronize watches, so-to-speak, since he is very busy and there was travel involved for him and for us.  Booking the right studio precisely when you when you need it and other logistic things can be like trying to get the stars to align but we managed to get it worked out.
We recorded the guitars and drums in Chicago with Neil, more guitars in Minneapolis with Neil, more guitars, vocals, and more drums in St. Paul at a few studios including our own.  Neil did all the mixing in his secret cave.

What can you tell us about the cover artwork? Is there a link between the artwork and the lyrics? What are the topics of your lyrics?
The cover art is cool, we are very happy with the way it came out.  It was done by Adon Fanion of Ghost Ship Octavius who is obviously a super-talented guy. It is playing with the idea of examining your own head and finding it full of mysteries.  The head in the picture is drawn from “Eros Bound,” the Igor Mitoraj sculpture found in the main square of the old town in Krakow, Poland.
The lyrics on this album explore various things from introspection and self-doubt, to anger and loss.  There are warnings, questions, fleeting answers, and many things that can only be said with music.

What do you expect to gain through this release? What are the band's aims at the moment?
In a nutshell, we are expecting to get our music out to a wider audience and continue writing for our next album.
We are just happy to get our tunes out of our heads and into yours.  We really want people to check our angle on metal music and we really want to do more of it.  We have tons of material and we are focusing on another album already even though Echoes was just released.  Onward and upward!

Is there a special format the material is released in? Or is it released in multiple formats? How many copies were pressed?
We are releasing Echoes in the usual manner.  Downloadable and hard copied.  Since we are releasing it ourselves we are really only pressing hard copies as we need them and we will see what we need and what people want as we go.

Where and how will you promote this new release?
We are working with ClawHammer PR to help promote the album and get in front of people and we will be working out some shows in the future.  Being able to do cool interviews and other press will hopefully get some metal fans looking in our direction and just like any underground band we love word of mouth!
So if any of your readers get into what we’re doing we would love to hear from them and if they help spread the word around we will be very thankful!

Where can we order it from?
Though gracepointmetal.com, cdbaby.com, bandcamp.com, ITunes, Amazon.
