Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Grenouer was formed in early 90's as a death metal combo, yet ten years later the band’s music broke into changes and it ended up Grenouer playing totally different – very melodic stuff.
How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
I can easily define which bands I like a lot today, but I wouldn’t be saying that they directly influence Grenouer... Waltari, Filter, Dark New Day, Starset, Tesseract, and a lot of either traditional or weird stuff. Describing our today’s style I would say that it is all about crossover metal based on thick low tune guitars and clean vocals.
Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
If you like anything unconventional but comprehensible, Grenouer delivers you something like that with two recent releases. If you are into heavier and complicated forms of metal, this is what we can provide with the preceding albums.
What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
Grenouer’s discography includes 8 full-length albums released worldwide. Reviews are always different because they reveal someone’s personal viewpoint yet I generally cannot complain, a lot of marvelous reviews – including big paper magazines.
Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
Absolutely. Playing live and touring not like Metallica, yet not sitting idly. I wish there were more gigs and tours, but this is also the matter of proper budgeting.
What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
Grenouer comes from St Petersburg, Russia, but doesn’t have anything particularly Russian. Properly produced international quality music and music albums, check them out and see if it’s your cup of coffee.
What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
Finalizing promo campaign for the last album and commencing work over new material.
Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
