Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Originating from the island of Rhodes, Greece - Hostage of Fate consists of Achilles Karageorgiou and George Adamidis, two close friends from high school with the dream and purpose to create good, aggressive and motivational music since 2008. Our first album came out in March 2013 entitled “At First Man Tried to Create God…and He Succeeded”, as a digital only download (as all of our albums as of yet), an album that took many years in the making and it’s our tribute to all the sounds that we loved as we grew as men.

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
Our main influences come from the sphere of thrash, death metal and grindcore, bands as Death, At the Gates, Misery Index, Nasum, Entombed and Malevolent Creation. Above that though bands from all the huge spectrum of rock/punk and metal music. Bands like Converge, Fall of Efrafa, Pelican and GY!BE have played a great role in the development of our sound.
So in conclusion, our style fits a bit more in the death/grind scene but not your classic one that you might think. We do not let genres bind our imagination.

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
Because we offer a new form of thoughtful aggression that seeks to work as catharsis on your soul and mind. Because we want to feel empowered after every listen. Also you don’t need to pay us a dime to download our music, make a donation to a cancer treatment center instead.

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
Besides our first album “At First…” in 2013, we released two albums and an EP in 2016.
Besides a couple of exceptions they were very well received and allowed us to be heard to a lot more people than 3 years ago. We don’t have many listeners, but we love every single one of them!

Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
Due to many personal and economic reasons we have as of yet to assemble a full band for live shows. We are in a constant look out for a drummer, so I hope the future will bring everything that we dream of.

What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
They should know nothing more than that we love what we are doing and the message and emotions we convey in our songs.
Because we will keep creating our best till we won’t be able to lift our hands. Because we want to play live shows and move people in every corner of the earth. Simple as that.

What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
We are in constant look out for a good record deal to release our albums in physical format and for a drummer, so we can achieve one of our dreams to play our music live. We hope the best for the future.

Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
Through our Bandcamp page ( and Soundcloud (
Thank you for listening to what we have to say, be strong!
