Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
We met in Boston, MA while attending college and formed under the name SKLDZR. We wanted to write songs about Dungeons & Dragons, the occult, and cosmic warfare and little has changed except for the name. Once we graduated, we moved to Nashville to seek fame and fortune while liberating dive bars everywhere.

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
We’re influenced by many different genres including punk, stoner, doom, sludge, classic rock, progressive rock, and Raffi. As for bands, Elder, Red Fang, Truckfighters, Melvins, NOFX, The Cars, Thin Lizzy, are what we mostly listen to.

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
If you like it, you should buy it. If you’re a basement dweller feeding off the luke-warm hot pockets made by your enabling mother, you’ll probably enjoy it.

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
We’ve released our self-titled EP via Bandcamp, which received much love from fellow riff-addicts. We were blessed enough to receive reviews from stoner/doom blogs like Sludgelord, Ripple Effect, More Fuzz, Stoner Hive, as well as a handful of other independent music blogs/radio stations from all over the world.

Do you play live as well? How’s your live activity so far?
We play a slew of local happenings ranging from house shows, to bar mitzvahs, to yard sales.

What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
If you like heavy music with an emphasis on melodic vocals and riffs, then you should check it out.

What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
We’re releasing our newest EP titled Black Hole Space Wizard: Part 1, which is the first part of a concept series. After that we’re going to focus on setting up tours and playing festivals in the southeast while continuing to write part 2 in the Black Hole Space Wizard universe.

Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
Right now you can buy and listen to our self-titled EP through howlinggiant.bandcamp.com, where we will also be releasing Black Hole Space Wizard: Part 1 on August 12. You can also watch/listen to us on YouTube.
