Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
We have known each other since 2006 and it was then that we decided to join forces and form a band. The form of that first band was quite different with what “Human Serpent” is now. There was a lot of turmoil, lack of communication and confusion between us and the other members regarding the musical and ideological direction of the band which lead us to split that band up and in the late 2012 form “Human Serpent” as a duo band. Us forming a band as a duo gave us the freedom we so much wanted-and needed-in order to make our ideology and mindset known.
How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
-We would describe our style simply as Black Metal.
We are influenced by Metal as a whole, we listen to Metal and we serve Black Metal. We are big fans of the Norwegian, the Finnish, the Swedish and the French scenes. Each Human Serpent member has his own influences and his own "favorite" bands that make the band sound and be what it is today.
What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
So far we have released “The Eternal Loyalty To Misanthropy” Demo, the “Spiritual Flesh Around the Cycles of Inexistence” and “Servants In Extreme Misanthropy” Splits and “The Gradual Immersion In Nihilism” Full-length. Our second Full-length “Inhumane Minimalism” will soon be released in digipack-cased CD by “Self Mutilation Services”, in jeweled-cased CD by “Nebular Winter Productions” and in Tape format by “Funeral Chants Productions”.
So far our every release has been sold-out-which that by itself is really a great accomplishment for an underground Black Metal band-and they have been received by both the public and media with positive attitude and positive reviews as well.
At this point, we would, once again, like to point out that people from foreign countries showed a lot more interest, support and respect for our efforts and their musical outcome, something that cannot be said for our fellow countrymen who had hostile-at times-attitude towards us and what we stand for from the very first time. Of course there are many exceptions and we would like to thank them for giving us their much appreciated support.
Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
We do perform live, yes. We have just returned from our 2nd tour for the promotion Of “The Gradual Immersion In Nihilism’’ .. For now we expect the new release of our album, and we want to be active again in some Live Gigs in the near future..
do not forget that we are 2 basic members.and we should always have a season member .
What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
We just want to continue to express ourselves, our beliefs, our opinions and our view of the world that we all live in through our music and through “Human Serpent”.
