Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
The band was founded by Richard Krenmaier who might still be known by Metal fans throughout Europe as the singer of Stygma IV, Johnny Sommerer and me in 2010. In autumn 2013 we have finished producing our debut album “All That Starts”. At the same time the live line-up was completed with Johannes Pichler and Rupert Träxler on guitars and Stephan Först on bass. Rupert and Stephan are already well known in the mid-European Progressive Metal scene through their work with Circle Of Illusion. Johnny is still a band member, our main song writer and he jumps in on bass or guitar from time to time.
How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
Our style is a mix of Traditional Heavy, Thrash, Power and Progressive Metal. I don’t really care what it is, we just mix everything we like. Bands that influenced us are of course bands we like and respect and that would be Slayer, Testament, Machine Head, Devil Driver, Pantera, Slipknot, Lamb Of God, Leprous, Dream Theater, Iron Maiden and Judas Priest.
Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
Because he likes it, is interested in our music and he wants to give little money for a lot of work and dedication.
What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
So far, we have released two longplay-albums: “All That Starts” and “Self” and the EP “The Evil In Me” with two studio and five live songs. All releases, especially our new album have got very good reviews all around the world and our fan base is slowly growing.
Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
Yes, of course we also play live. I think a band cannot really “exist” if it doesn’t play live and we love playing live. So far only in our home country Austria but we are working on getting the first gigs in our neighboring countries.
What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
We are a very busy, hardworking band as you can see in our output – 2 longplay albums and the EP, lots of videos and everything self-made without a label. We will continue writing and producing our music, we already started working on song writing for the next album. And one thing is for sure: we won’t stop because we love it, doesn’t matter if any label is interested in us or not, we already have our fans and a good reputation as a small underground band. With every interview like this one, with every live gig and with every release we are slowly growing.
What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
We will produce vidoes of songs from the new album, so far we have only released a lyric video of the album-opener “Watching Atrocities”. In spring we start playing live and promoting the new album live again. As I already mentioned we are working on songs for the next album, maybe we can start recording at the end of the year.
