Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Adriano Krueger: First of all, I want to say hello to all Metal brothers worldwide and thank you for the interview. The Krueger band started in 1987. I am the sole remnant of the first line-up. Ze Carlos entered the second line-up in 1988 and he is my brother in arms ever since. We had many changes, recorded some demos tapes and two full albums during that time. Not so much material, but we prefer to release compositions with musicality and quality than to drop an album full of "riffs colage", music without art, just for money, each year. The current line-up is very solid with me (vocals and lead guitar), Ze Carlos (bass), Thomas Abrantes (lead guitar) and William Arantes (drums). We are together since 2011 and we started the compositions for our third full length.
How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
AK: We play Traditional Death Metal with influences of Death, Obituary, Pestilence and others. It is possible to notice some melodic parts in our songs, even Thrash Metal parts, but it happens naturally, nothing forced. Some songs flow into more melodic parts, we don't block it. We do music for inspiration, there is nothing fitted. And that does not affect the predominant style. Our influences show it in the albums. Finally, we are nothing more than old school Metal fans doing old school Metal.
Why shouldnt the metalhead buy your demos / albums?
AK: Well if you like the music and you trust the band, you can give support, if you want. That's what I do. You know, we are headbangers, we are Metal brothers, we seek to produce quality music, we honor the old school Metal, we are true fans of Metal. Also, we drink a lot hahahahaha. Seriously, if you have some time, please check our music videos at www.YouTube.com/officialkrueger and contact us whether you like it or not.
What have you released so far and how Were your releases received by the public / media?
AK: Krueger's first full length, "Turn on to Death" features 10 old school Metal songs and cover art by Marvel's Mike Deodato, released by Destroyer Recs. The second full length, "Return to Death", was self released in 2014 and we had an 8.0 review grade at one of the most important Brazilian Metal mags, Roadie Crew. A Polish Record Label, Time Before Time, released a Krueger live tape in 1995 featuring songs from the first album plus tribute covers for Death and Pestilence. Please check the complete discography at our official website. We get positive reviews and enthusiastic comments by old school Metal fans in most media and by direct contact with us. Besides that, we play just what we like to play, we are free and we love Metal. So, we believe that true Metal warriors can prove it and at least drink a lot of beers hahahahaha.
Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
AK: We play live in almost every state of Brazil. We do small tours, the last was in the northeast region, where we are always very well received. After the release of our third album, we will look for tours outside of Brazil.
What should labels / zines / promoters know about your band? Why shouldnt They be interested in it?
AK: Krueger is a traditional band and we play with great dedication to old school Metal. We are truly dedicated to quality Metal music, including lyrics. We are in full activity and we will continue for a long time. Krueger gigs differ by the heavy riffs, quality songs and the dedication of its musicians to Metal. We are family, we are humble and we play for the old school Metal sake.
What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
AK: Finish the third album for releasing it in 2016, do European, United States and other tours, produce other music videos and sign with some labels for releasing the album outside of Brazil.
