Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
A little over 3 years ago in a depressed industrial complex Goose and I started working on our first release. Each member of the band met each other through other bands we had been playing in, whether it be metal or rock n roll or EDM. Everything came full circle and we all ended up killin them strings and skins with each other. Great dudes, easy times.
How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
This is a question we get asked a lot and is not always easy to answer. In short we like to say, Back to the Woods Metal. If we’re aiming for influences here, we’d have to go with Baroness, Darkthrone, Thin Lizzy and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
It seems that our lovely oasis of metal has been getting a little flooded recently. Too many super clean computer robots making tons of records. We’re aiming to get Back to the Woods in a sense and really reclaim the throne that was and is rock n roll lost in time. So come get ya some.
What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
So far we have our first EP out which hit the streets in April of 2013, and now our full length album “Paths” was released in November 2015. The public and media have all had good reviews and we’ve only seen a growth in parts of the world ordering the albums. Toilet ov Hell did a great interview with us when we were on the road in Philly just to name one of many. http://www.toiletovhell.com/guest-interview-sean-barrett-gets-to-the-root-of-things-with-lord-almighty/
Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
We’re a very active band when it comes to live shows. Hitting the road as much as we can and trying to keep broadening our reach. In Boston we’ve had the privilege of playing with bands like, YOB, Taake, Young and in the Way, Inter Arma, Black Cobra, Obsidian Tongue just to name a few.
What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
We’re really wading through some shit right now. We’re really aiming to cross all the borders between black metal, thrash, doom and most importantly rock n roll. Paying homage to the dudes who pushed these genres forward. Putting our spin on it and crushing it forward.
What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
At the moment we have submerged ourselves into new material and finalizing the next tour in October/November. Gonna be hitting a three and a half week pavement pounding excursion. Scraping our knees across America again.
Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
You can catch our music on our website http://lordalmightyband.com/ also on our bandcamp https://lordalmighty.bandcamp.com/ which also has our merch.
