Please tell us a few words about the new release, about the music on it as a whole or a few words on each track in part. How are you happy with the final release?
The new release “Paths” came out November of 2015. The goal here was to talk about the paths in which we all walk through in life. All very different but the struggles are present in all of our journeies. I like to think that it doesnt matter what click you like to fit in, or what clothes you wear, or even what job you work...i dont give a fuck. You’re welcome to any Lord Almighty show and we would love to meet you.
How would you describe/label the music on it? Does it sounds like anything we might have heard before?
We tend to like to call it Back to the Woods Metal. Some of our biggest influences are Baroness, Darkthrone, Think Lizzy and Lynyrd Skynyrd haha. While that may seem like a strange mix of bands, it’s all about rock n roll. You’ll just have to listen for yourself and you tell us what ya’ll think.
Where was it recorded and how much time did it take you to record it? Any interesting stories from the recording/producing the material?
We recorded it ourselves so as a sense of how long it took, im not exactly sure. We worked on it as we could. It really gave us a chance to mess around without worry of how much it’d cost, and messing around with all the mic placements and putting amps in weird places like showers and the what not. Good times.
What can you tell us about the cover artwork? Is there a link between the artwork and the lyrics? What are the topics of your lyrics?
The artwork was done by the amazing artist here in Boston, Michelle Dugan. She really nailed it with making it seem like at the heart of the wooden paths uphold serenity, an epicenter in which all paths eventually lead. Lyrically I aim for speaking towards lifes struggles and how we’re all in them. Each walk or path of life may have differences but we all are struggling at the moment dealing with political, religious, race, and economic issues. A lot of confusion and violence in the world at the moment.
What do you expect to gain through this release? What are the band's aims at the moment?
Hopefully a lot of fans and friends. Expanding our fanbase, and seeing new places is what we love doing the most. Right now we’re finalizing our next tour in October/November trying hit this tour route as consistenly as possible.
Is there a special format the material is released in? Or is it released in multiple formats? How many copies were pressed?
Digital and CDs is what we have. They’ve been doing really well and about every tour we end up needing to order more copies. Since the release of our full length we have had to restock our CD’s after touring so I think it’s a good sign and we need to order more EP’s as well. We’re keepin on keepin on.
Where and how will you promote this new release?
We had an album release here in Boston with Yob, Black Cobra and Sea of Bones. Killer show. Next up is just as much touring as we can get done.
