Title: Rippe's Restless Rehearsal Rumble
Style: Heavy Thrash Black Death
Wow, here's a mix between Heavy Metal, Thrash Death and Thrash Black Metal, a few elements from each genre combined together into a versatile, natural sounding, angry, energetic, kick-ass Metal I have a feeling many will go nuts about. The rhythms, the moods, the vocals, the patterns this German quartet managed to blend together on this "rehearsal" recording are so different yet they sound so well alltogether, so natural that you have a feeling this is where they all belong to. Majak is a quartet from the North of Germany founded in 2015, with a debut album self-released in 2019, and now this demo that sound brilliant, nowhere near what one would expect to get from a rehearsal recording, this is well mixed and mastered although keeping a raw, barbaric attitude and production. 3 tracks clocking 16 minutes of playing time, previewing what will be the band's second album, one that I'm already hooked on, I'm sure it will be a total blast, and I only hope they won't spoil it with a shiny production, in my opinion how it sounds on this demo it's absolutely perfect for the album as well. The band sounds so different from track to track, and at the same time you know it's still them, that is why I'd say the band's highlight is their ability to build structures that don't follow particular templates, they go wherever they feel like natural to. Killer, killer band, the more I listen to it, the more I like it, wow!
