Please tell us a few words about the new release, about the music on it as a whole or a few words on each track in part. How are you happy with the final release?
Hyperglaive is the culmination of what I feel to be our most fruitful creative period.  It had been a while since we were in the studio, so we had lots of ideas brewing.  Stephen was fresh on board as the writing was in its early stages, and the new influence was powerful.  I Know everybody likes their new shit the best, but I can honestly say that this is the record I'm most proud of.  And I mean ever, that I've been involved with.  Really stoked.

How would you describe/label the music on it? Does it sounds like anything we might have heard before?
Well, if you are familiar with our earlier material, this shouldn't be a surprise.  Hopefully we have taken things up a notch.  that is our goal each time.  Always trying to improve our craft.  And I think we got our best sounding recording to date with this one

Where was it recorded and how much time did it take you to record it? Any interesting stories from the recording/producing the material?
We recorded at Warrior Sound in Carrboro NC, as we always have.  Al is an old friend who does truly world class work.   And we really always wreck him pretty good, hahah!  We have so much fun recording every time, we all recover for weeks.  It rules.  One of the (non-getting-hammered) highlights of the last session was when our buddy Viswas came in to contribute his sweet esraj tracks for the intro of Star Wranglers.  His interpretation of our music was humbling and awe-inspiring!  So honored to have a musician of such magnificence on our stupid little record!!!!

What can you tell us about the cover artwork? Is there a link between the artwork and the lyrics? What are the topics of your lyrics?
Our lyrics gravitate toward the fantastic and scientific.  We have a particular affinity to Frank Herbert and Fritz Leiber lately, but we've delved into some darker fiction inspired by McCarthy as well as some original fiction.  As for the cover artwork, Chris Prince is a goddamn genius.  Our next album will explain this magnificent beast!!

What do you expect to gain through this release? What are the band's aims at the moment?
Our aim has always been to bring the rock to your town!  This record will bring us one step closer.  The response has been so great!  We are crossing the seas to rock this year for the first time.  Not the last!  We hope that this release stands on its own, and we hope to take our art to new levels with the next one.

Is there a special format the material is released in? Or is it released in multiple formats? How many copies were pressed?
Well we are all pretty into vinyl records, and the format of our vinyl release is a dream come true to us.  Not only are we stoked on the cover(for which we can take no credit.. thanks Chris!), but the special edition of the record includes the work of 9 artists.  There is a full painting for each song in an included booklet.  All by our talented buddies, who apparently totally understand where we're coming from.  Everybody's take on our songs was spot on!!!  We are super lucky to know such talented people.
The album will also be released by Killer Metal Records on CD in early 2017.  Thanks to Jens Hafner!!!!  Jens has been with us for years and is one of the premier supporters of true metal!  So stoked to be partners!

Where and how will you promote this new release?
