Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Midnight Rites was born first as a project of the swedish guitarist and musician Bobby Tancreed under the name Vigrid Plains. But later changed to Midnight Rites.
From the begining the music was more of a doom ambient gothic kinda style. Vigrid Plains split up after a year or so due to both members other groups / projects.
In 2015 Bobby had some tracks ready as a demo and sent them to Emi in Spain and asked if he was into the leadsinging as member, and he said yes.
The style were now changed onto a more aggressive and extreme style and the tracks where more suitable for death/thrash blackish metal combined.
Wich were closer to Bobby´s style when he was in his own group/project Mordikaii (Melodic death metal).
In a short matter of time the new lineup and the new name got some attention with the demo and they manage to get a label intressted to do a Ep.
The label Sade Records (Mexico) gave them the opportunity to release the Ep wich became Midnight Rites - Tales From The North in 2015.
It was release in Sep 2015 with 6 tracks.

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
Our style is combined of both melodic death and some black metal strokes with ordinary metal riffs.
The blend is various but towards the more extreme with the vocalranges.
Our influences are wide. Dissection, Naglfar,Cryptic Wintermoon, Windir,Dismember,Entombed etc.

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
A metalhead should buy or listen to our music because its variety and the new sound it brings forth.
We sound like no other really out there atm. We tend to do alot more on the coming Lp - 2016 wich is ongoing in recording mode (Pre-Production).
It has alot of melodies and pattern changes in the songs. It has it all.

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
The reaction we so far has gotten is supreme and overwhelming. People says its sound makes it on top.
The mix between the music and vocals shifting is a main attraction for the listeners. We have gotten some reviews on the Ep and all of them are good.

Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
We have not done any live gigs yet and we dont know if we will do any in the future. We have to see what the future has installed for us.

What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
Labels, zines and promoters better look out cause we aim to let our selfs be heard and noticed out there. With the new Lp coming this fall
we set the bars real high to get all we can get with our music. And we will do all that we possibly can to do so.

What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
Our nearest plan is to involve, collaborate with some other major musicians to our recordings on this new Lp.
Names will be revield on our facebook site eventually www.facebook.com/midniterites
And we hope to get it all done this spring so the mix mastering will have some time to get it all right.
Later this fall we think the release will take place.

Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
