Please tell us a few words about the new release, about the music on it as a whole or a few words on each track in part. How are you happy with the final release?
Hmm, well, there is old Serbian saying “as much money – as much music”. We recorded this album in 4 days, which is in compare with albums before.. more days.. in that since, this album is played and produced better.. so the sound in general is better. Also we wanted for production to be different and darker on this than on previous album too, so we got that result. Same as production, on the new album we wanted the music and lyrics to be different so we got a little more hard core punkish / death metalish crossover thrash metal which is pretty cool. In general we are happy, since we worked in studio on rehearsals about 2 years on it. I'll compare some of the songs. Stakleni zidovi klanice I suntipical nadimac thrash song, with political/ethical message resonated through fast rhythm but also almost singing vocals. Raterdiran za skejt is song with more hard core punk vibe, also fast and with more groove I think. Jebe mi se is total hard core punk extreme thrash short expression song. Duhovi ulice is longer song but also I think song with more changes and styles. I personally like Bunike because it has elements of more music genres we love, from punk, death metal, speed to almost grid core. Intro is something I'm also proud of.. because we used fantastic soundtrack from cult Yugoslavian movie Variola vera, and incorporated sound of Japanese industrial machines march and human – animal screams of exploitation.
How would you describe/label the music on it? Does it sounds like anything we might have heard before?
Well for me it doesn't actually, as far as music goes. But in general it has that nadimac style and tempo so its our way of making music. It has some more freedom of expression than previous albums and you can hear pure death metal, grind or hard core punk moments. Also it sounds darker than previous releases, that’s for sure!
Where was it recorded and how much time did it take you to record it? Any interesting stories from the recording/producing the material?
Well same as previous album, it was recorded in citadel studios in Belgrade. As I already said, it was recorded in 4 days. But actually most of the material was recorded by night. Although everybody, except me, is working, we had to record during the night and after that off to work, and next day again, and again etc. Dude who was helping out in studio was on some kind of steroid / protein diet so he was farting like retard all the time all day and night, and we were all in small room.. so it was … hell. Also, I was so smart to help my friend on some work during the rains, so I was sick 60% of vocals recordings, which sucked.. but that’s the life for you.
What can you tell us about the cover artwork? Is there a link between the artwork and the lyrics? What are the topics of your lyrics?
Well lyrics are connected with human – animal liberation at first, but also about capitalism and human society exploitation. On the other hand songs are the protest against today's globalism, global society and global culture, especially with the medias and universal bad laws which puts borders on people physical and mental movement. Song like Retardiran za skejt and Uradi sam are the motivational songs. Retardiran.. is song which message is, that it doesn't matter if you are even old or if you think for the whole life you can't do something.. start from the beginning and you will see that you actually can.. all life we were trying to learn how to skate but we didn’t have skateboards of our own… nowadays I got old skate from our guitar player and the wooden board from Jaran(Azazel /Vox populi) so I can ride it in my neighborhood. I still fall and get my knees fucked up but I'm glad I got to test my abilities.
What do you expect to gain through this release? What are the band's aims at the moment?
Well we already got next album proposal from Witches Brew records, which is fantastic thing and achievement for us. On the other hand, we will try to tour and visit countries we didn’t yet. We will make some split releases I think. And in July this year we will start to record new nadimac DVD, with our concert but also a story about what nadimac does and how in Serbia today.
Is there a special format the material is released in? Or is it released in multiple formats? How many copies were pressed?
I think that cd is pressed in 700 or 800 pieces. WB will release album on vinyl format too in future. For vinyl release co-release is always a good idea so I think maybe they might cooperate with somebody on that.
Where and how will you promote this new release?
Hopefully we will visit all the countries we played before and also play in Hungary, Czech, Slovakia, Germany, and also France for the first time. Promotion will be dome ofc live, and some by intenet. We are always making a promo packs with patches or t shirt+cd packs etc.
Where can we order it from?
If you are not from Serbia, its best to order new album from Witches Brew directly.
