Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
The band was started by Brandon, Nick and Zack in early 2015. In summer of that year Pete was asked to join the band as the vocalist and right after that I joined the band as the bass player.
How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
Our style is difficult for us to label, in fact we prefer not to do that. We all have very different influences ranging from bands like Slipknot, Mudvayne, Slipknot, Sylosis, Avenged Sevenfold, Lamb Of God, Iron Maiden, Hellyeah, Pantera. With that we do have a lot of groove, but we like to think that we capitalize on our diversities as musicians.
Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
They should buy our albums because we have a little bit of everything and we put it all out on the table. We know that if a listener were to give all of our songs a listen, they would find at least one that stands out for them and draws them in.
What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
So far we have released a EP and two singles off of our upcoming album 'Toxic Playground”. For us we feel the “Ashes of the Unborn” ep was extremely well received, especially since for us we were testing the waters with what we were doing. We have had a few of the songs from the ep .featured on a few compilations. Same for the singles as well. “Ambushed” went over well within our fan base and was a nice way to let everyone know that we are working on new stuff for everyone. As for “Razor Blade Regrets” we are honestly shocked at how well its getting received and how much traffic its getting. People love it and we love that they are into it.
Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
We do play live. Over the past year we have played shows in Calgary, Edmonton, Regina, and our hometown of Medicine Hat, and they have all gone over really well. We have some wicked shows lined up for 2017 as well including this years Moments Fest in Siksika Nation and Loud As Hell in Drumheller Alberta.
What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
Know that we put it all out there when we hit the stage. We love to interact with our crowd and we make sure to never disappoint when we perform. Our goal is to maintain our intensity and draw people in with that energy, and we do just that every time.
What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
Like I said we have a few festivals lined up for this year. We will also be playing a fews leading up to our Album release on June 9th and June 10th. After that we are looking into booking a small mini tour in mid to late August. After that we are still waiting to see what all happens.
Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
You can listen to our band on Spotify, Soundcloud, and Shazam. You can buy our music at nuclearoath.bandcamp.com or on itunes, amazon, google play, and a few other digital stores.
