Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
The band was formed in 2007, when Safa (drums) and Traktor (bass) met in Prague. Traktor knew the guitarist Simon from their former band in karlovy Vary and these three joined together. After about 4 years of personal changes, Mirac (vocals) and Fuga (guitar) filled the missing gaps. In this formation the debut album Sanatorium was released in 2012. This year the line-up was reduced, Mirac took the bass guitar after Traktor, who now plays with the punks JUST WAR.

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
We play angry metal music, a combination of thrash, death, progressive. Constantly we admire the music of Black Sabbath, Pantera, Death, Sepultura. On the other hand Simon’s music writing is influenced also by Bach, Vivaldi, J.D.Zelenka or Mozart.

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
Our music combines the elements of metal and classical music. Not by using orchestra, but the guitar riffs resemble old baroque music in many ways. The metal part of our music is also quite gay – we use both old school and modern metal approaches, often within one song.

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
We have emitted two full time albums, Sanatorium 2012 and Age of Aquarius 2016. The reviews and echoes from our listeners are usually positive, but still it is difficult to address a lot of people, the scene in Czech republic is quite small. There are also two official videos on youtube along with some other funny stuff.

Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
Live playing is the strongest thing we have – that is how music is supposed to be played. Unfortunatelly we had several forced breaks in our shows due to some injuries of the band members. We are learning to be less reckless so we can play without these breaks

What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
This is a difficult question. At the first place we play what we want and what we consider sufficient. The band is probably the most important thing in our lives, I mean it is our way to express ourselves in form of art. We do our best from this side and all outer support is very welcome.

What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
We are going to shoot a new video for one of the latest songs and probably release it as a single. We are considering to write the lyrics for it in Czech language for the first time. The winter is also a good season for club events. We are starting to play some brand new songs at the gigs, which is always very refreshing!

Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
All our songs are available at a czech site for bands, bandzone.cz/spreadingdread. There is also an online sale at the webstores, or the fans can email directly us. We can meet them in Prague or send them our CDs or merch.
