Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Stryvigor was created in autumn 2012 in Khmelnytskyi city by me (Khladogard) and Dusk, when I left my previous band Vendogard, I decided to create a new project. I have already had a few songs for new album. At that time I was already familiar with Dusk and his band Endless Battle. He is a good vocalist with specific voice, so I invited him to perform vocals on my new music. Later our drummer Rungvar joined us. He is my friend with whom we played in Vendogard too. By this line-up we recorded our first album “Forgotten by Ages” and played few live-performances. In autumn 2014 Dusk left the band and I got a vocals place.
How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
We play black metal: from the classical style to atmospheric and melodic. All ours lyrics are written in ukrainian language, and that gives music a special character and spirit.
Bands that have influenced on my music majority are legends of ukrainian black metal like Nokturnal mortum, Hate forest, Drudkh. European bands like Immortal, Darkened Nocturn Slaughtercult, Winterfylleth and many others...
Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
If you like black metal about mighty and magic ukrainian landscapes, about eternal Carpathian darkness covered by autumn fog, and freezing cold of winter, you definitely should buy our albums! :)
What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
In September 2014 was released our first full length “Forgotten by Ages” via Svarga music. At one moment we've started to get many positive reviews and gave few interviews. During live performances in Ukraine, people were always singing our songs. Metalheads accepted album really well and this is very importantly for us.
Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
We gave few lives during 2013 - 2015 years in different cities of Ukraine. Our last performance was in Kiyv (March 2015). After that, we didn't take part in any gigs. But, soon we plan to give some concerts in support of the new EP “Into the Abyss of Cold”.
What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
Labels/zines/promoters have to be familiar with the music that we play, know short history of the band, which members plays in it, and which concept we support. They should be interested in it for various reasons — someone likes our music or concept and want to promote it, someone likes to write reviews in their zines, etc.
What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
Next year we want to start recording the new material. Most of it is already written like demos. That will be something new and special for us. I hope you enjoy it!
Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
You can listen Stryvigor on YouTube, Soundcloud and VK. Our stuff you can buy on http://www.svarga.eu, Fimbulwinter Prod. and many other sites!
