Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
To sum it all up, we were all friends in High school and kept in touch. We eventually developed a taste for metal music and gave it a go. We Met Paul through other friends that were already into metal, so we gave him a call. We knew immediately that it would work out. It all started out as fun and nothing serious but soon realized that we can push our limits and find our true potential. I guess it was at that point when things got serious and started writing originals and the rest is history.
How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
It is always a challenge to categorize music rather than just saying “metal”. If I had to choose, I would say technical metal, Industrial death metal, death metal. Maybe? Maybe not. I like to keep away from a specific genre and say “Metal”
Why should a metal head buy your demos/albums?
The answer is simple; if you want good music, fast-paced that motivates you, inspires you, gets you going in one way or another, then you should listen to Synastry!
What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
Synastry was active from 2005 to 2010 and we went dormant until 2020. That being said, we had a self-released EP, 'Pallets of my new world' in 2006, and then released our first album “Blind eyes bleed” on Year of the sun in 2008 and started to promote it with multiple mini-tours and cross-country tours. Social media was not like how it is today so, other than Myspace, we relied mostly on live shows. Shows were well received no matter the turn out.
Do you play live as well? How is your live activity so far?
We would perform live almost every weekend and long weekends. However, re-emerging during Covid-19 no less, live shows are not realistic for the moment. We are mostly active on social media and focusing on getting the music out there.
What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
Music is all about emotions, feelings, and inspiration. Our objective is to move people and we never who we can inspire to start up a band of their own. If we succeed in getting people interested in it, the faster we reach our goal, to spread good music. We are not here to prove to people how badass or heavy we are.
What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
We are currently working on promoting our new EP as much as we can. We may or may not have other “secret” plans to work on newer material with a few guests.
Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
You can listen to our songs on all streaming platforms. Our social media has a bunch of other goodies, and for purchases, Synastry.bandcamp.com
