Please tell us a few words about the new release, about the music on it as a whole or a few words on each track in part. How are you happy with the final release?
This whole release reflects the so far musical development of Undiluted as a two man project… we integrated a few, already existing songs that were composed by Hanzi during his one-man-project-phase (see band-bio), worked them over and created a solid ground for the additional songs we composed together afterwards.
It reflects our very personal ideas and feelings, our understanding of a catchy, simple songwriting to create a most impressing atmosphere of dark, melancholic music and appearance.
Of course, after living with the release for almost half a year, there are considerably few details we could have arranged different, reffering to the mood we´re in at a specific moment… but in generally we´re more than happy with the overall appearance, with its sound , songs, and anything!

How would you describe/label the music on it? Does it sound like anything we might have heard before?
Any listener will search for parallels to categorize a band and legitimize his adoration for its sound or style… kind of helpless way to put a band into a drawer, but nevertheless the way it is usual and usefull…
Of course, we believe to perform a very unique style of music… but there, we´re also forced to describe it with common words! So we decided to describe our style as grounded on doom-metal, with a well calculated portion of gothic and black-metal influences… not the reinvention of music itself, not the kind of sound you can´t compare with any existing stuff, but still the composition of elements we choose to describe our feelings, in the way we believe to be the most suitable one for us, and to express our mood.
We have read comparisons with Tiamat, Cathedral, My Dying Bride, and several other genre-typical bands in the past reviews, just to give a hint, an idea or almost a reference…

Where was it recorded and how much time did it take you to record it? Any interesting stories from the recording/producing the material?
Originally we recorded the entire album on our very own, so it took quite a time for a two man band , besides our daily issues and profession to compose, and also to record the songs under very weird , almost absurd circumstances  in my former dining-room, with only an 8 Track digital-recording device as a start. For mixing and mastering we entered a professional Studio (Bazement studio, see website!) …  during that period every single song developed a lot since its original raw mix was done… additional vocals, additional parts, different drum-tracks and so on… it was a progress still going on, while recording the songs. After having them all ready, we send the songs to our keyboarder, living quite a way away from us (he lives in Tel Aviv, while we live in central Germany) and were most curious on how our songs would sound like, after he entered a studio recording his tracks. 
And were most flattened!!!

What can you tell us about the cover artwork? Is there a link between the artwork and the lyrics? What are the topics of your lyrics?
The album is entitled “The Withering Path” …and this concept stretches through lyrics, artwork and our own personal- , and also band - history… it reflects the daily struggle with job, band-issues, family and the whole worldwide situation, personal feelings, sorrows and so on.
The album is not meant as a concept album, but the title nevertheless puts its message into brackets the best way we can imagine!

What do you expect to gain through this release? What are the band's aims at the moment?
Of course we want to get rich and famous… no, just kidding… we just intend to transport our ideas, our feelings to a possibly vast crowd, want to touch the hearts of our listeners and within that process, increase our amount of fans as well as any other band does…  meanwhile, we gathered a lot of new inspiration, experience and influences during the composition and the recording processes. And also our line-up is still growing… so there will bemore personal  inputs, more unexpected influences,  valuable ideas - by our new members -  to be awaited on our upcoming release of course…  So we all are part of a continuing, creative process which exact result is not written yet 

The release is available as a jewelcase-CD in an appropriate number of copies and also available as MP3 via any common online-portal, such as Amazon, i-tunes e.g.!

We try to be present in any way a band can be… online presence like Facebook and so on, make sure  to visit our own bands website “www. Undiluteddoom.com “ , and of course we try to perform live as often as we can! So check out for live-dates!
