Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Joel Pershing (Drums), Matt Gonzales (Bass), and I grew up together in the East Bay (SF Bay Area). by the time we hit middle school we had all shared a great love of music (metal being the predominant genre). Naturally, we picked up the instruments of our choice and started playing individually. Matt and I would play together first playing covers in talent shows and garages. When we got out of high school we'd all join bands with a focus on writing our own original material. after each of us going through a few different outfits, we decided to start one together. We found are guitar player in a neighboring town in Donny Brunk, and we were off.
How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
I'd describe it as Queensryche meets Dokken. Our influences were all pretty similar. OZZY, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, KISS etc.
Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
If you like early Queensryche and the 80's sound I think you'll enjoy the EP. It was recorded in that era and has that late 80's feel.
What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
The EP "Subconscious Endeavor" was just released last year and from what I've read is receiving favorable reviews.
Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
We played a number of shows in the late 80's before disbanding on other musical endeavors. noo shows are planed until we finish writing our full length follow up "Passed Presence".
What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
First off they should know that the material on Subconscious Endeavor is a reflection on the beginnings of this band, which never had a chance at realizing the bands potential back in the 80's. The new material will be a cohesive collection of material showing the true potential of our chemistry together as musicians.
What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
Our sole focus right now is producing a new album, promoting it, playing live and seeing how the musical public perceives it.
Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
"Subconscious Endeavor" is available wherever you can buy digital music online
