Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
WENDORIZER formed in the year 2013 in Deje, Sweden. The founding members are/were Robin(me) (guitar/vocals) and Aron (drums) by the time we were 13/14 years old. We quickly began playing covers of Diamond Head, Venom and Metallica, but soon enough began to write our first original songs. A demo was put out in the summer of 2013 called The eternal nightmare, without playing a single gig, songs included was: Nuclear terror, Never ending nightmare, Fire trap and Ultimate assassination. The first gig was played in October of 2013 with a crowd of around 50 people at Gamla kraftstationen in Deje. This gig was played by only me (Robin) and Aron, the same goes for the 2 more gigs to come the next year. We wrote one more song, Beholders of evil which was premiered at our second gig in Kulturhuset, Deje. In March 2014, we obtained a new force in the band, bassist Jonathan who attended our gig at Kulturhuset. In the summer of 2014 we released our second demo, Outcome of ignorance, which included Fire trap and Never ending nightmare along with the new Beholders of evil and a cover of Sepulturas Troops of doom. Jonathan didn't play on this demo except for Troops of doom, the first three was performed by Andreas Jonsson. 2014 was a year of many gigs and promoting for us. In January 2015 we played at the self arranged indoor festival, Hårdrock för mångfald, with bands like INSANE, Serpenth, Gonadectomy and Browsing Collection. We also participate in the Swedish competition Livekarusellen which we hope to win.
WENDORIZER is now in the writing state for our upcoming EP which will be out on cassette and CD later this year.
How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
We play thrash metal in the vein of Death Angel, Forbidden, Testament, Slayer etc etc. But our influences ranges to much more than just thrash metal.
Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
So they can experience some cool music.
What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
Two demos and they were well recieved by the public. (They are pretty shit compared to our liveshows) We have not gotten so much media response.
Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
We have played around 10-11 gigs in total.
What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
That we do things our way and that's it.
What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
We juste plan to write songs for the EP and play live as much as possible. Credit Erik Nygren for the photos. Thank you for your time!
