Please tell us a few words about the new release, about the music on it as a whole or a few words on each track in part. How are you happy with the final release?
It is the second album in our discography, I'm personally very proud and pleased of the outcome, all in all definitely the Zloslut's zenith up to date. Musically we stay with our mix of mid tempo and blast, with some d-beat parts. Also with a more spiritual atmosphere then we had before, some ambiental parts here and there. Much more powerful guitars with melancholic melodies and disturbing riffs. All well following the lyrics.
How would you describe/label the music on it? Does it sounds like anything we might have heard before?
We derive from Black Metal. If it sounds like something else? That is to the listener to say. Of course we live in a time when it's hard to create something new, espacially in Black Metal where everything is pretty much already done.
Where was it recorded and how much time did it take you to record it? Any interesting stories from the recording/producing the material?
It took us around two months (august/september 2014) with several intervals of course, it was recorded in several different studios in Belgrade, Serbia. All the mixing, mastering and other sound works were executed by Nemanja Krneta (a.k.a. Zlorog), who did a great job again, we worked with him back in 2012 for the EP "Pustoš i prevare izgubljenih duša".
What can you tell us about the cover artwork? Is there a link between the artwork and the lyrics? What are the topics of your lyrics?
The cover is a gravure by Martin Schongauer called "Saint Anthony Tormented by Demons". I choosed that gravure because it represent exactly the lyrics I have written, I could ask someone to do something similar, but it would have been some kind of rip off, and I'm not that kind of person. And this is a good opportunity to make a tribute to this piece of art. I've seen that some other bands and artist have used it also, but never for something concrete as an album for exemple. Our lyrics deals with death philosophies, misanthropic pathways all isnpired with occult knowledge.
What do you expect to gain through this release? What are the band's aims at the moment?
To gain? Nothing, the releasing of the album itself is sufficient. We are currently planning a tour that will most possibly occur in march 2016, and also booking some festivals, we will see where this album is going to bring us.
Is there a special format the material is released in? Or is it released in multiple formats? How many copies were pressed?
The album is released for now on CD, digital is also available. Soon it will be released on vinyl and cassette tape formats. There is enough copies to satisfy all listeners, especialy today when phisical releases have not the same interest as before, it does not surprise me when I see people buying and reading books virtually.
Where and how will you promote this new release?
With live shows, I hope the most, but also via the many zines and web portals that we can count on. And of course the last option that is unfortunatelly always the safest checked: social networks, point is, it does the job.
Where can we order it from?
It's available from Austrian label Winterblast Halls, and our label Dark Chants Productions.
