Landmine Marathon unveil cover art for upcoming album

LANDMINE MARATHON has revealed the cover art for its fourth album, Gallows, out September 27 on Prosthetic Records (pre-order it here), and also premiered a brand new track.

The Gallows cover art was created by UK artist Rob "Mid " Middleton, known for his artwork for Napalm Death, Extreme Noise Terror, Deviated Instinct (in which Middleton plays guitar), and more.

Landmine Marathon guitarist and producer, Ryan Butler, speaks in details about the Gallows cover art on this exclusive video, now streaming on MetalInjection.

Stereogum has posted a track from Gallows called "Cutting Flesh and Bone" --  hear it now

Landmine Marathon bassist Matt Martinez describes "Cutting Flesh and Bone": "Short and to the point, 'Cutting Flesh And Bone' is a relentless rager and will definitely become a live staple because of this. This song takes lyrical influence from the darker side of 17th century folklore, which matches with the brutality of the Bay Area thrash-influenced riffing!"

The Gallows tracklist is as follows:

1) Three Snake Leaves
2) Cutting Flesh And Bone
3) Knife From My Sleeve
4) Liver And Lungs
5) Dead Horses
6) Cloaked In Red
7) Beaten And Left Blind
8) Morbidity

Gallows was tracked at Arcane Digital Recording Studio (Exhumed, Nightrage, Misery Index, Phobia) and mastered by Dave Shirk at Sonorous Mastering. The album features the debut of the band's new drummer, Andy York.

Landmine Marathon will be touring the world in support of Gallows. The band hits the road this week for a tour of the Western US, teaming up along the way with Toxic Holocaust, Bastard Noise, and more, then follows up in the fall with a slot on "America Torn Asunder," a full North American tour with Warbringer, Lazarus A.D., and Diamond Plate
