ROTTEN SOUND: Debut New Track Off ‘Cursed’
ROTTEN SOUND has posted the first preview track, "Plan”, from their forthcoming album Cursed online now via the band's MySpace and Facebook pages. Cursedwill see its worldwide (excluding Finland) release on March 15th via Relapse Records on CD, LP and digitally. The CD is available for pre-order now at this location and a deluxe digital version that includes two bonus tracks and digital booklet is available for pre-order at iTunes. Cursed, the follow-up to 2008's Cycles, was recorded at Nordic Audio Labs. Lyrically, the 16-track album is themed around the six curses of mankind.
ROTTEN SOUND, who will kick-off a North American tour later this month, has also announced a headlining European tour in support ofCursed. This four week tour will kick-off in early April and also include TRAP THEM, GAZA, THE KANDIDATE and HAUST. ROTTEN SOUND will be touring North America as part of "The Finnish Metal Tour 2” featuring FINNTROLL, ENSIFERUM, and BARREN EARTH. OBSCURA: Unveil ‘Omnivium’ Album Artwork
OBSCURA has recently unveiled the album art for their brand new album Omnivium at this location. Omnivium, the follow-up to the band’s acclaimed Cosmogenesis album, will see its North American release on March 29th on CD, double LP, and digitally. Two versions of the Omnivium CD are available for pre-order now including the standard and limited deluxe version that comes in a digi-pak with exclusive bonus track, embroidered OBSCURA patch, guitar pick, and an Omniviumalbum cover sticker. OBSCURA has posted the track listing for Omnivium as: "Septuagint”, "Vortex Omnivium”, "Ocean Gateways”, "Euclidean Elements”, "Prismal Dawn”, "Celestial Spheres”, "Velocity”, "A Transcendental Serenade”, and "Aevum”. Omnivium was recorded at Woodshed Studio in southern Germany with engineer V. Santura (TRIPTYKON, DARK FORTRESS). The album is based on Friedrich Schelling’s "On Nature’s Connection to the Spirit World”.

MISERY INDEX Guitarist To Debut New Pedal Design At NAMM With Amptweaker
MISERY INDEX guitarist Mark Kloeppel has partnered with Amptweaker to unveil the "Tight Metal” pedal at the annual NAMM conference next weekend (Jan 13-16) in Anaheim, CA. Amptweaker owner James Brown, who is well known for his engineering of Eddie Van Halen and Peavey’s original 5150 guitar amplifier, teamed up with Kloeppel to create the "Tight Metal” high-gain guitar pedal.
The "Tight Metal” pedal tone circuit was devised over the past year through concepts provided by Kloeppel coupled with Brown’s unparalleled engineering expertise. The pedal also features consumer suggested innovations such as an onboard noise gate or "chomp”, a "tight” control, and more. Additional details on the new "Tight Metal” pedal can be found here.
Kloeppel will be appearing at Amptweaker’s booth at NAMM next weekend to demo the "Tight Metal” pedal to industry leaders and music fans. He has also recently posted an online video demonstration of the pedal at this location.
Aside from MISERY INDEX, Kloeppel has performed and recorded with Criminal Element, Cast The Stone, and more. He has been playing guitar professionally for nearly 10 years and has toured the world over as a musician. MISERY INDEX has most recently completed two full North American and European tours in late 2010 in support of their new album Heirs To Thievery.

ABYSMAL DAWN: New Tracks From ‘Leveling The Plane of Existence’ Posted Online
ABYSMAL DAWN are currently streaming the title track from their forthcoming album Leveling The Plane of Existence online now at MetalManiacs.com. Leveling The Plane of Existence, the follow-up 2008’sProgrammed To Consume, is set for a February 1st North American release date (February 7th– UK, February 11th – Germany, Benelux, February 14th – rest of EU) and is available for pre-order here. ABYSMAL DAWN was joined by guest musicians Moyses Kolesne (KRISIUN) and Kragen Lum (HEATHEN, PROTOTYPE) during the recording ofLeveling The Plane of Existence. DYING FETUS: Early Albums Streaming Online
DYING FETUS are currently streaming the upcoming re-issues of their 1995 demo collection Infatuation With Malevolenceand debut album Purification Through Violence online now in their entirety atDyingFetus.info. Both Infatuation With Malevolence and Purification Through Violence will be released next Tuesday, January 18th and are available for pre-order at the following locations: Purification..., Infatuation.... The re-issues have been re-mastered, re-packaged to include new liner notes and never-before-seen photography, and bonus tracks.
Re-issues of DYING FETUS’ Killing On Adrenaline (1998) album and Grotesque Impalement (1999) EP will follow in early March. NOISEAR are currently streaming a brand new track, "Life Consumed You”, online viaSickDrummerMagazine.com. "Life Consumed You” comes from the band’s forthcoming Relapse debut Subvert The Dominant Paradigm that sees its release on February 1st in North America (February 7th internationally). TOXIC HOLOCAUST: Wrap-Up In The Studio; Kick-Off Tour
TOXIC HOLOCAUST has just finished recording their long-awaited new full-length at Dexters Lab in Milford, CT. The as-yet-untitled new album and follow-up to An Overdose of Death… was recorded byTOXIC HOLOCAUST / KINGDOM OF SORROW drummer and engineer Nick Bellmore (HATEBREED, PHANTOMS, FULL BLOWN CHAOS). A late spring 2011 release date is expected with additional details to be posted shortly.
