Please tell us a few words about the new release, about the music on it as a whole or a few words on each track in part. How are you happy with the final release?
Árpád: The new release of Anguish Sublime is an EP entitled Thornwinged, and it consists of one intro track (Black Moon Diadem) and three full songs (Thornwinged, Rainfall Epiphany, Heart Of The Void).
We are truly satisfied how the entire release has turned out. We have managed to make a couple of steps further sound-wise, and in terms of pushing our own boundaries.

How would you describe/label the music on it? Does it sounds like anything we might have heard before?
Árpád: We call our style atmospheric death metal, but to be honest - it's quite difficult to find the right genre to tag our music, because it has a lot of different layers and a huge amount of influences that vary from classical music to the darkest and most extreme metal sub-genres, such as death, black or doom metal.

Where was it recorded and how much time did it take you to record it? Any interesting stories from the recording/producing the material?
Árpád: The material for Thornwinged was recorded at the Ravenmoon Studios, which is actually Aleksandar's home studio. The recording session took about 6 months altogether (post-production included). The whole process went by in a pretty smooth and relaxed atmosphere, but I couldn't really recall any particularly interesting story worth mentioning right now.

What can you tell us about the cover artwork? Is there a link between the artwork and the lyrics? What are the topics of your lyrics?
Árpád: The cover artwork is made by Aleksandar, and it depicts the mythological embodiment of chaos, since the title-track deals with that topic, but the lyrics themselves are pretty much open for any kind of interpretation. Rainfall Epiphany and Heart of the Void are lyrically dealing with internal struggles, emotional scars, as a result of some unfortunate events that occurred in my life lately.

What do you expect to gain through this release? What are the band's aims at the moment?
Árpád: Well, with this release we would like to reach as much people as possible, and to present our music to everyone who is willing to hear some dark and atmospheric extreme metal music. To find a record label and make a decent contract for the upcoming album would be a dream come true as well.

Is there a special format the material is released in? Or is it released in multiple formats? How many copies were pressed?
Árpád: At this moment Thornwinged exists as a digital release only, but there is a plan to put it out on CD as well in the near future, probably in 200 copies.

Where and how will you promote this new release?
Árpád: We are trying to promote this release via every channel accessible (our homepage, Facebook, Bandcamp, Reverbnation, Soundcloud, Youtube etc.), but - after 8 years of not playing live - there are plans to gather a full line-up and hit the stage again.

Where can we order it from?
Árpád: Thornwinged EP is free for download and listen, and it can be downloaded or heard on the official Anguish Sublime's website - as well as from the following social profile pages:
