Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Arrival Of Autumn started in 2011 and we have worked hard playing across western Canada and have been playing a lot of shows in support of our latest effort Shadows which came out almost a year ago. Arrival Of Autumn is Jamison Friesen on guitar and lead vocals, Brendan Anderson on lead guitar and Ty Fox on drums/backing vocals.

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
The best way I (Ty Fox) would describe our style is fast, catchy and precise. We play with speed but always use catchy hooks. I would say the biggest influence on our sound is Metallica for both the music and attitude. Its a band everyone in our band loves. To be honest I think that the musicians in bands influence us more than the bands themselves. Musicians like James Hetfield, Kevin Parker, Mikael Akerfeldt, Tony Royster and Cliff Burton.

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
Thats easy! If you like good music thats creative and catchy give Shadows (our debut album) a spin. It doesn't just cater to metal heads though. I believe its an honest effort put forth by three very hard working young men with something to prove and the hard work shows!

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
We did one low budget Ep a while back but it wasn't up to par so we reworked a few of the tracks and made them sound awesome for the debut cd "Shadows". All of us in Arrival Of Autumn were blown away buy the great reactions to the songs we put out. Of course we get the odd hater but I could care less. If they could do it better they wouldn't be crying about how we sound ;)

Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
Live is where AOA shines best. We all work very hard. Our guitar player Brendan always sticks out on every bill we are on. Its always fun watching peoples faces when he's doing his thing! Our vocalist Jamison has to play guitar and do vocals and I don't know how he pulls it off flawlessly every time, He's a machine. We put on a great show.

What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
People should know that AOA works hard to bring it every single time no matter what. They should be interested in what we are doing because we are here to stay to do what we love and we have years of great music and creativity to give!

What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
I don't know how much I'm supposed to say but we have very big things coming up and the studio has been booked for our next effort which is going to take us to new heights. We have a few festivals coming up, the closest one being Mule Fest on Sunday July 12 in Edmonton.
