Please tell us a few words about the new release, about the music on it as a whole or a few words on each track in part. How are you happy with the final release?
We worked out the music for Post Solis in the last year and it took on a life of it's own during the process. The first track really stands apart from the others in theme more than style. That being said the rest of the album was mostly the lovechild of our drummer wanting to write an epic suite of songs that worked together. We've tried to blend a lot of influences on this album and we believe people will enjoy it. We are beyond happy with the final product, we recorded last fall with Jamie King of The Basement Recording Studio in Winston-Salem NC. He is a complete professional and really helped us define how the EP would sound.

How would you describe/label the music on it? Does it sounds like anything we might have heard before?
This EP is a total mix of agressive sounding melodic death metal, a lot of progression and movement within each track and a fair amount of shifting dynamics. We are progressive metal but you'll hear undertones of Post Metal and Doom as well. We like to wear our influences on our sleeves, if you've heard Opeth, Mastodon, Gojira or BTBAM you'll have heard something like this before.

Where was it recorded and how much time did it take you to record it? Any interesting stories from the recording/producing the material?
We recorded in Winston-Salem last fall with acclaimed Between the Buried and Me producer Jamie King. We were in the studio for four days with him during the process and the man is just an audio wizard, it was the most painless recording process we've ever been involved with. We blazed out an Ameri-Suites and marathoned old 'saved by the bell' episodes in between recording sessions, if you happen to find that kind of thing interesting.

What can you tell us about the cover artwork? Is there a link between the artwork and the lyrics? What are the topics of your lyrics?
Any and all of our Artwork comes directly from our Drummer, Mr. Nathan Day. The guy shits solid gold and is incredibly creative. The link between the art and the lyrics involves the story we've tried to tell in Post Solis, the tracks here follow an immortal being coming to grips with earths destruction, traveling solo through space and the eventual end of the universe itself. Usually our lyrical themes range from introspection and philosophy to story telling and working out personal issues.

What do you expect to gain through this release? What are the band's aims at the moment?
The real goal behind this release is to gain some traction from the past couple years we've spent in the woodshed writing and playing material that's yet to be released. Ideally, we would like to continue to expand our regions where we play live on the back of this recording to generate more momentum and keep getting the good word out there. "Have you heard about Behind The Sun?"
We aim to keep supporting this EP throughout the year, keep booking shows and finish up writing some follow up material for next year.

Is there a special format the material is released in? Or is it released in multiple formats? How many copies were pressed?
Nope! We've got digital streaming and downloads and if you're lucky enough to make it to a show we'll have physical copies starting at the end of Feb. 2017.

Where and how will you promote this new release?
We are working with an amazing PR company who handles smaller acts like ours and utilizing social media as best we can to target the southeast us and try to get as much national and internation buzz as possible.

Where can we order it from?
You can pre-order Post Solis from our bandcamp page RIGHT MEOW!
