Please tell us a few words about the new release, about the music on it as a whole or a few words on each track in part. How are you happy with the final release?
In Death We Rot is our first full length release. It's a follow up to our 3 song demo. The songs are straight forward old school death metal / death and roll with lyrics about various subjects like Horror movies, real life crime, serial killers, necromancy, and most important our hatred for the ignorance and stupidity of mankind. We are happy with the release. Of course there are things we've learned from and want to do better on our next release but in full we are happy with it.

How would you describe/label the music on it? Does it sounds like anything we might have heard before?
It's old school death metal/death and roll.
We don't really plan to push the envelope as far as the genre of music we're playing. We like old school death metal and we will continue to add our personal style to the tried and true genre of metal. You can hear our influences right away. We prefer the Swedish style of death metal.

Where was it recorded and how much time did it take you to record it? Any interesting stories from the recording/producing the material?
It was recorded by myself at my studio (Firestorm Studios). We probably took a couple of months to record it. We had all the material written and practiced before we started tracking. We recorded 12 songs, 11 of which made the album. The album was mixed by Partick Bruss of Crypiticus. A mutual friend introduced us when we were working on our demo and we hit off right away. Patrick and I can spend hours just talking production, mixes and the recording process. He had the mix completed in about a month. During the mixing process is when we were contacted by Redefining Darkness Records. We worked out a deal with Thomas and he suggested we have his buddy Ken Sorceron master the album for us. We sent him a test mix and we liked what he did with the master so we had him do the entire album.

What can you tell us about the cover artwork? Is there a link between the artwork and the lyrics? What are the topics of your lyrics?
The artwork was done by Mark Riddick of Riddickart. Holly contacted him before we even started recording because we didn't know how far he was booked out. We sent him a few samples and told him what we were doing. He got back to us right away and said he liked our band and what we were doing and agreed to do a cover for us. He asked for some lyrics and some of our influences so he could get a feel for what we were doing. He sent us a preliminary drawing to see if we liked it and we did. It didn't take him long after that to have a complete piece to us.

What do you expect to gain through this release? What are the band's aims at the moment?
To be honest we're really not looking to gain anything other than having a killer death metal record out. We've all been in other bands and have made the push to make it; this band is more for us than anything else. We enjoy what we're doing and the music we're making. If more comes from that then great. Although it's not like we're sitting on our ass not doing anything. We enjoy playing live and are aiming to get on some bigger shows and get out and do some touring.

Is there a special format the material is released in? Or is it released in multiple formats? How many copies were pressed?
We had 1000 CDs duplicated and it's up on our bandcamp for digital download. But we're most excited about the 200 black and 100 red 12" vinyl that are being pressed right now. We'll have these in our hands just after the first of the year.

Where and how will you promote this new release?
Everywhere we can by any means possible. Our label helps us promote as well as Mike at The Metal Detector. We're pretty stoked that our label just got us distribution through Hell's Headbangers. Other than that it's the usual on line social media, playing live shows, doing interviews and that sort of thing. We've also have some killer metal friends in different parts of the world that are helping us spread the Bloodstrike word.
