Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Medevil started in 2011 as a high school band comprising of core members Liam Collingwood, Eric Wesa and Ross Collingwood. The band was under a different name at the time. Back then we were known as "Demise." The name we felt didnt really suit our style, and we found a bunch of other bands with either the same name, or something too similar. In 2014, after the members graduated, Liam and Eric came up with the new name "Medevil." In March they found two new members, Gary Cordsen and Brett Gibbs, from craigslist. Both guitar players added new textures to the music, and formed the new songs that are on our upcoming debut album.

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
Our style could be described as a malgamation of thrash/progressive/classic 80's metal. Our music was heavily influenced by bands such as Metallica, Megadeth, Mastodon, Porcupine Tree and Metal Church.

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
With our upcoming album, 'Conductor of Storms,' we tried our best to keep the music as varied as possible. We are influenced by a lot of different styles, and we like to show it in our music. We hope that if you pick up the album, it can satisfy multiple tastes of songs you enjoy.

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
Currently we have our first album single called "Machination Factory." It's very well recieved by the public, with people especially praising its blistering fast lead and Accept/Metal Church esque vocals.

Do you play live as well? Hows your live activity so far?
We are a very active band in the Vancouver live music scene, although we have taken a short break to get things alligned for our upcoming Western Canada Tour (Late August). We plan on focusing on more tours in the future, rather than individual shows (possibly throw in a few festivals) so we can focus our energy towards writing another album.

What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
We are the 2015 National Finalists for the Canadian Wacken Metal Battle. (Amongst 6 other finalists across the country) We have also shared the stage with big name bands such as Sepultura, Destruction and Unleash the Archers.

What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
After this tour we will be focusing on our second effort, which we hope will be a bigger leap musically for us. We feel like after recording the first album, that we have grown closer as a group and are writing more consistantly good material. Also we're constantly expanding our live set to further enhance our performance and keep our audiences entertained.

Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
