Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Currently, we are Sean(vocalist), Ry(bass), Doza(drums) Stephen(guitar), and myself(Bill, guitar).  How it all started?  Seems like yesterday.  But many moons ago... Sean, Ry, our original drummer Ben, original guitarist Nick, and Taylor Lauritson began a project they soon called Colossus.  I had known those guys from other bands and was at either their first or second show.  Taylor was moving away, I liked what they were doing and was between bands, so, enter Me.  A couple years later, after recording and touring on "the rift" Nick went off to become a powerful lawyer, at which time another old rock buddy, Andy Lewis joined up.  Andy was with us from "Drunk on Blood" through "sepulcher", and then went on to become a powerful music student and teacher in New York.  That was about 3 years ago, maybe.  We thought we were sunk, but up popped Stephen, who quickly became a powerful Colossus guitarist, and later a powerful Mega Colossus guitarist!

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
We like to call our style adventure metal.  We thought we invented that term, but have since heard it elsewhere.  Which is awesome, I want there to be an adventure metal explosion, globally!!!! As for influences, that is surprisingly complicated. There are the obvious, the Maiden, Scorpions, Priest, our contemporaries (I use the term with the utmost reverence), Slough Feg, Bible of the Devil, countless and growing numbers of others.  Beyond that, we love all music.  In Mega Colossus, we have fans of Bob Seger, Fleetwood Mac, the Cranberries, David Bowie, Gustav Mahler, Harold Faltermeyer, Van Halen... this list could continue... you get the point.

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
I dunno...  if you are reading this, you have an interest in our style. Just check us out. If you appreciate our tunes and appreciation for epic literature and themes, you will help us to continue our journeys!

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
We have released the following in various formats:  Colossus: and the rift of the pandimensional undergods, Drunk on Blood, Colossus:  and the sepulcher of the mirror warlocks, and most recently, under the newer, larger moniker, Mega Colossus:  Hyperglaive.  Our biggest problem over the years has been getting our music to the public and the media.  When we have done so, the response has always been really encouraging.  I think people are always ready to party and enjoy grand themes and epic tunes. That's what we're going for.  And Hyperglaive has been really well received.  I hope it's for that very reason.

Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
We have always considered live shows to be the ultimate goal of music.  We give 150% to our live shows (I know that's mathematically impossible, but that's the goal)  Full on Rock!!  This has always been a priority.  Our first road trip was within 6 months of our creation.  We have always attempted to get out on the road as often as possible.  This year we are breaking new ground, with a European tour landing us at the Harder Than Steel festival.  It is our first time across the sea, but not our last.

What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
I can't tell anyone what to like.  Lemmy Kilmister said:  "fly your flag up the pole and see who salutes".  words of wisdom.  We bring it as far and as we can, with as much action and enthusiasm as can be had.  I like to think that speaks for itself.

What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
We are already working on new material for the next record.  It is hard to balance the writing with the show schedule, but the next record is on the horizon.  In the meantime, we will be bringing the Hyperglaive to you in every way we can.  More tours, videos, and releases in the works!!!

Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
Our songs are available for streaming and buying at band camp, iTunes, Spotify, apple music, all the usuals, but please visit our site: you can link to any of these outlets from there, interact with us, and see our.... pretty faces?!
