Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Oh, this is going to be a loong answer. Of fire started for real in August 2012 when I (Robin) joined the band as a singer but it was a jamming project maybe a year before that. Me  and Jonatan are friends since early schooldays, from around 14-15 year's of age we both played alongside eachother in different bands and even had a pretty promising band together called "Depraved" back in 2003 but we parted ways in 2005. Jonatan went to study music and i did some vocals in some bands but i was pretty fed up with the metal scene so i quit music and was pretty much daydrifting for some years. In 2012 i heard that old bandmates including Jonatan where jamming again and just like that i was inspired to start making music once again and asked them if i could join them and see what happens. From the first note it felt so fucking right and everything fell into place after being lost for 7 years, the best feeling I've ever had so we wrote some songs to do a already booked gig and Of fire was born . In November 2012 Martin who at the time wasn't in the band, but we met him back in 2003 in a studio when we were recording a demo with "Depraved" he was also recording a demo with his blackmetal band Ope'ra, anyway he sent me Tomas Skogsbergs email address, so i sent some rehearsal tapes to Sunlight studio. Very surprisingly Tomas was stoked about the songs rightaway and told us to come to the studio and record a full album, we didn't believe him at first but when we got to know him he really is a genuine down to earth and honest guy who always brings the best out of any musician, today he is a great friend to us.
During the recording process Alfonzo (bass) quit the band but due to different taste in the music but no hard feelings where shed. After the album was done Anders (guitar) decided to quit music to focus on his family, i was devastated but happy for my best friend. There we where, three members left with our first album in our hands and a big release gig coming up. I rehearsed guitar and vocals at first but fortunately Jonatan's brother Rasmus who is a really good guitar player could help us out on guitar, infact he was in the band in the very beginning for a short period but quit due to studying. The day after i asked Martin if he could help us out with the bass at least for the releasegig, -"sure" he said and the circle was complete again for some time until Henrik (Drums) decided to leave due to studying far away. Then Martin suggested Rick as our new drummer, i was a bit sceptical at first knowing that he wasn't a real "metal" drummer but a very good drummer with tastefully groove from playing the blues with his father etc. He really proved me wrong with his drumming, he made us all better and is a funny guy. This is the lineup we still have today and we are stronger than ever.
Martin - Bass
Rasmus - Guitar
Rick - Drums
Jonatan - Guitar
Robin - Vocals

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
We play "heavy as shit" death metal with a raw attitude. The music is relativly simple and to the point, Good riffs always being the main focus. Words like "feeling" and "energy" being far more important than "technical" and "fast".
We have sooo many bands that influence us i can't even start really but Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden and Metallica are some bands that inspire us all. All of us have such different types of musical influences and that is a very good thing for us, i guess that is what completes us in a way.

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
Listen to our music, if you dig our shit you should buy our albums, merch, come see us live and support us. Period.

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
We have released one full length album called "Carnage fever" in 2014 wich really still hasn't reached out to the media, but those who have actually listened to the album have liked it very very much, wich is very nice thing for us to hear.
We are releasing our brand new and second album called "Death do us all" Now in Oct/Nov. We have put so much more heart, time and effort in the songs on this record and this time we have a record label to help us reach the masses.

Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
We are a true live band, we've been doing gigs many years before Of fire. We are always burning to play live, it is what we do. We've done club gigs here and there around Sweden and a couple of smaller festivals.  We have been very fortunate, we did a european tour 2015 in Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Slovakia and Czech Republic wich we brought our friends Wormwood, it was all great fun all the way and the crowd was crazy most of the time, for example in Bucharest some beautiful people told us after the gig that they actually borrowed money for tickets just to come see us play. That was one of the biggest moments for us, that kind of dedication is just beautiful in every way and that is what makes all the blood sweat and tears worthwhile.

What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
We are the real deal, we are not fucking around, we have done this for 15 year's so we know our shit. We don't dress up, we don't wear makeup, we write about real, things we've been through, real "monsters" we are what we are, cause you can't be something you are not. There's to much illusions, fantasies and lies these days, even in the metal scene. We are honest and straight to the point and we will bring the world on it's knees.

What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
Alot of things are happening right now, as i said we have a brand new record in our hands so we are working hard to find the right label for it, we are soon ready to release a video for a song called "Scavengers" and we are going to tour in  Russia November 3rd and ten dates forward. Still some technical details to sort out but we will let you all know soon.

Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
You can buy our first album "Carnage fever" both digitally and physically at Bandcamp or just send us a email.
You can listen at Spotify etc. and see our videos on YouTube.
The new album "Death do us all" you will soon find everywhere.
Cheers!  /Robin
