Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
The project was born in 2014 after the break-up of our previous band called Draugr. At those time I had already written some songs, so I asked to three of my ex band mates to join my new project. The first Selvans line-up was: me (keyboards), Jonny (drums and vocals), Fulguriator (guitars) and Stolas (bass). While we were working on our first EP Jonny died in a motorcycle crash, when he was just 30 years old. After some months I decided to debut with a posthumus EP dedicated to my brother Jonny and we signed with Avantgarde Music. In the meantime we parted ways with Stolas and decided to continue as a duo.

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
In one world: italian. More than by single bands I'm influenced by the history and the cultural heritage of my land, by art in general and by various sensations that I feel every day.

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
Because in them he would find the voices from the spirits who live the italian waters, stones and woods.

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
We have released an EP called 'Clangores Plenilunio' that went sold-out in a few months, a full-length named 'Lupercalia' (that is now at its third press), a split album with the italo-argentinian one man band Downfall of Nur (now at its second press).
Medias reacted with enthusiasm to each and every release. Our latest release is the live album called 'Hirpi', scheduled for April 20.

Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
Yes, we played more than 50 gigs in two years also bringing our show to: France, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Netherlands, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Romania, Serbia, Bulgaria and I hope to enlarge this list in the next future.

What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
Nothing! They simply should listen to our music, the rest will follow.

What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
We are working on the second album that will be released in 2018. In the meanwhile we have a mini tour in France with Primordial and Enisum scheduled for the next month, any other news will be announced in due course.

Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
