Please tell us a few words about the new release, about the music on it as a whole or a few words on each track in part. How are you happy with the final release?
Yeah, basically the process started in February 2014. After a show in Helsinki we sat in a bar and discussed about the band and the future relating musical things. We decided our next step was to make a full length album, still unsure who would release it.
So… After the 2014 shows we started to prepare material for the debut. It took approximately six months to complete it before hitting the studio. One thing was clear for all: the album would be the best death metal debut of all time, and we still think the goal was achieved in every standard.

How would you describe/label the music on it? Does it sounds like anything we might have heard before?
The music is old school death metal, made in the 90’s Florida spirit but upgraded to the new millennium. Many of the people think our closest reference is Bolt Thrower. We admit, that BT is one of the influences but there is also other ingredients in our music!

Where was it recorded and how much time did it take you to record it? Any interesting stories from the recording/producing the material?
Recordings took approximately 4 months. We all have dayjobs, so that’s a reason the recordings happened mostly at the weekends and our pace was quite slow. We started with drums at December 2014 and continued with strings early 2015 and the last in the line was vocals, March 2015.
The recording period was full of coincidences, technical and human body based ones. One of the worst was in early January 2015: one day our lead singer Ykä texted a message ”Oops, I woke up in a hospital. I don’t know why, I apparently fainted on my way to grocery store.”
Next couple of months he was in pretty terrible shape, just sitting at home and texting some messages about his recovery time by time. He had some kind of poisoning state in his body and was incapable to participate anyhow to the recordings. He could do something for two minutes and after that started to feel dizzy. That’s pretty bad luck indeed, the idea was he would be the mastermind arranging the string recordings. Ykä is our specialist everything relating to recording stuff, so finally we had to make a crash course about recording techniques because we needed to move on, haha! Luckily our studio guru Danko (Daniel Rantanen) is on the good guys, so he made some gear adjustments and coached us through the process.
In the beginning of March we were still unsure if Ykä could even do the vocals for the album! What a nightmare!!! We had a strict deadline and all the hard work in previous states seemed to be flushed out of the toilet.
Well… Ykä made it one week before his duty start! He suddenly stated: ”Fuck, let’s do it, I’m ok!”, and the rest will be history. The most interesting thing in this story is still at this very day, none of the doctors in Finland cannot explain what was wrong with him. But he’s healthy now and we’re elated about that!

What can you tell us about the cover artwork? Is there a link between the artwork and the lyrics? What are the topics of your lyrics?
We had the album name and some ideas for the artwork ready even before we started preparing new songs for the album. The idea was to have a mother and a child on the cover and some war effects around them. Jenni Arola painted the cover art. It took some iterative rounds to complete it, but the result looks pretty damn good! The back inlay was made by our label boss Cheryl@Witches Brew, basing on the idea at the cover page. Due these women the physical album looks great and we’re very happy with the outcome. Our lyrics deal 100% with war and its consequences so the art is supporting our message pretty much!

What do you expect to gain through this release? What are the band's aims at the moment?
Our middle age is over 30yrs, so we have faced reality with the finances and rock n’ roll lifestyle. We pretty much know we are not going to be millionaires with a music style like this, but it would be awesome to be known at least somehow worldwide in our genre. Our short term aims currently are getting good reviews for the album (which seems to be working), getting attention in music world, and play shitloads of shows everywhere in the world, haha! Nobody has invited us to play outside Finland yet, but we hope there will be a change!

Is there a special format the material is released in? Or is it released in multiple formats? How many copies were pressed?
We have currently the ”normal” physical cd, and our label Witches Brew has released it lately digitally in their bandcamp page. The first lot was 700 pcs, which we of course hope, will sell out as soon as possible, haha!

Where and how will you promote this new release?
The main area is nowadays of course the internet and social media. And as we’re not millionaires (yet!), we believe that good music will be spread without any multinational label brainwashing it to the major medias. The outcome will not happen so fast, but it happens. Good music always wins.
We rely on the promotion made by our label and we’ve hired a couple of persons specialized in it, too.

Where can we order it from?
For worldwide orders you should go to our label shop:
If you apparently operate in Finland (our native country), the easiest way is to get it via
If you have questions, stories, problems or shit like that, just out and find us from facebook We appreciate our fans, and we always have time to chat!
