Please tell us a few words about the new release, about the music on it as a whole or a few words on each track in part. How are you happy with the final release?
Hello! We are Tempers Creature, Black Metal from Germany. Our latest record and third full-length album, "Si Vis Vitam, Para Mortem" was released on the 17th of July 2015 via "Sturmglanz Produktionen".
"Si Vis Vitam, Para Mortem" contains 12 songs with a total running time of about 74 minutes.
To tell you something about the individual songs:
1. Albtraum Leben (Nightmare: Life)
2. Tränen auf nackter Haut (Tears on bare skin)
... is dealing with the crimes committed to women during or after every war. The song is dedicated to every woman who is a victim of rape or other war Crimes, but especially to German woman
who where raped and murdered right after WW2 by the allies. We all know about German crimes, but it is important to say that in a war NO opponent is innocent.
3. Deiner Heimat größer Sohn (The greatest son of our home)
... is about my grandfather Karl who lost everything after the war - but managed it to become the major of my hometown out of nothing.
4. Eines Geistes Klage ("The Ghost I", Blutklinge Cover) about a ghost who mourns because he is cursed to still live on this earth after his death.
5. Danse Macabre (Dance of the dead)
...the dance of the dead. A song with a typical "memento mori"-motif and the message: At the very end we all will die the same.
6. Von Vergänglichkeit (Of transience) the story about an ended love, about lovers who turn into foreigners.
7. Töte dich... (Kill yourself)
8. Dämmerung der Abendsonn' (Dawn of the evening sun) about how nature takes back its realm after the extinction of mankind.
9. Welken Lilien gleich (Like wilting lilies) about the oppression of paganism.
10. Ein Wintertraum (A dream of Winter) about nostalgic childhood-memories at winter.
11. Si Vis Vitam, Para Mortem another song with "memento mori"-motive and the message: Live your life honourfull and with joy, but remember that you are mortal.
12. Und die Freud' kehrte wieder (As joy returned) about a man who is telling his impression of life just before his death.
And yes, we are very happy with the result, it's our best-sounding record so far!

How would you describe/label the music on it? Does it sounds like anything we might have heard before?
We describe our music as "Suebian Heathen Music", basically it is a mixture between Neofolk, Pagan- / Depressive- and Atmospheric Black Metal, so, the music you can hear on the record is quite unique.
I don't think that there is a band playing a similar style as we do out there. There is no main-focus like DSBM or Pagan BM set on "Si Vis Vitam, Para Mortem", it is a balanced mixture of what I enumerated before.

Where was it recorded and how much time did it take you to record it? Any interesting stories from the recording/producing the material?
It was recorded at the "Heil'ge Heimat Klangschmiede", a little studio I've built for Tempers Creature. We've recorded "Si Vis Vitam, Para Mortem" from February 2014 to March 2015, so, we nearly spent a year to
finish our latest record. There are no great stories to tell about the production. I recorded the guitars and keyboards, sent the tracks to my drummer Náttfari and he sent the songs with perfect drums back to me.
As simple as that.

What can you tell us about the cover artwork? Is there a link between the artwork and the lyrics? What are the topics of your lyrics?
On the cover artwork you can see an owl sitting on a skull, a typical "memento mori"- motif. And that is where you can find the link between the artwork and the lyrics - all of our lyrics on "Si Vis Vitam, Para Mortem"
are dealing with death and transience, about being mortal and remembering that fact. We want to ask our listeners to live a honorable and good life, but with the ulterior motive, that this life will end like every other
life before. The only thing that remains is the memory of our deeds.

What do you expect to gain through this release? What are the band's aims at the moment?
We don't expect anything, we are playing this music because we love it. We do it especially for us. Our aims are simply to produce records about which we can say: "Yes, that's beautiful, that is what we always wanted to do."

Is there a special format the material is released in? Or is it released in multiple formats? How many copies were pressed?
"Si Vis Vitam, Para Mortem" is available in CD format as a jewel case- or as a digipack-edition. The jewel case is limited to 100, the digipack to 50 pieces. So, total there are 150 copies of our latest record.
