Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Tytus are 4 guys from the far east of Italy, they play heavy metal. Mark is on guitar, Ilija on guitar and vocals, Markey on bass and Bardy on drums. We started this band at the end of 2013. Previously we were known as Gonzales, a punk/garage/hard rock band. As Gonzales we released 2 full lenght, one EP, some 7”and during our 10 years activity we played a lot live across Italy and Europe. After some line up changes we decided to change our name to Tytus, mostly because of the new songs we wrote. The new sound was heavier than before and we simply followed the wave.

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
Our music can be described as a mix of the sound of the golden days of 80’s heavy metal/speed metal, the groove of the 60/70’s psych/heavy rock and the heaviness of Stoner/doom metal. Everyone in the band has his own musical background and the bands that influenced us are so many to mention just a few. I think that Thin Lizzy, Sabbath, Judas, Maiden and early Metallica are the most notable influences in our music.

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
Because we are definitely into classic heavy metal, but our songs sound fresh. They are not just a copy of the old school masterpieces. We try to combine the traditional sound of the early 80’s metal with the older sounds of the 70’s  and with something newer. Don’t worry you won’t hear any nu metal screams and riffing.

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
We released a 7” called White Lines in 2014 that was a coproduction among three record labels: Kornalcielo (Italy), Ghost Highway (Spain) and Self Destructo (USA). It was well received  by media and public. In november 2016 we’ll release our first full length called “Rises” on Sliptrick records.

Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
We are quite active live. At the end of 2014 we toured France and Spain to promote our first 7”. After the release of Rises we have already booked a lot of shows around Italy and a small tour through Austria, Germany, Slovenia, Czech republic in the springtime 2017… We have already booked some shows for the summer of 2017 on festivals.

What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
They should know that we play energetic live shows and pay a lot of attention on how our songs should sound. Mostly they should know how deep is our love for music.

What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
Our plan is to continue playing our music and do this in the best way we can. We’ll try to reach with our music as much people as we can.

Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
On our webpage you can find all the links to buy our stuff and follow our band.
