Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
The history of Vesperia goes way back to around 2006 when Morgan Rider (bass/vocals) created the band as a blackened folk metal project called Bolero. Casey Elliott (guitar) joined the band around 2007 and after numerous years/tours and member changes Bolero eventually changed its sound and name to Vesperia. Frankie Carracci (guitar) joined the band when we changed our name to Vesperia back in 2012 and has brought our sound into more of a symphonic death metal. Dylan Gowan (drums) is our most recent member who joined us in 2014 and as this line-up we have done great things together. Just this last year we have toured all of Canada and won the title as 2015 International Wacken Metal Battle Champions.

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
Our style is constantly changing and enhancing itself, as of right now we are more of an Epic Symphonic Death Metal. There are many different influences that each of us have, we all listen to a vast selection of music in the van as we travel. Septic Flesh, Wintersun, Blind Guardian and Symphony X are a few bands that we all love.

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
We put a lot of effort into making our demo/albums. We rehearse as much as possible to make our sound as tight as it can be. If you like our music and like what we do, then purchasing an album makes it possible for us to hit the road and tour. Most importantly at the shows on the tour if you like our sound and want to buy an album it helps us get back home .

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
We have released 2 albums and 2 demos  as a band, Voyage From Vinland (2011), The Swordsman (2012 demo), An Olden Tale (2013) and Iron Tempest (2015 demo). All of which we feel have been received well by the public  and media. We can't wait to release the new album we have been working on to the public as these new songs are our heaviest/tightest songs yet.

Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
Yes we do, we actually travel a lot. So far just this year we have traveled from the east coast of Canada to the west coast. We won the opportunity to play at Wacken Open Air where we claimed the title as 2015 Internation Metal Battle Champions.

What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
They should know that we put a lot of hard work in what we do as a band. We try our best to write the heaviest and tightest songs we can and rehearse them immensely. We try our best to play everywhere we can travel to and market ourselves to the best of our abilities. We also put a lot of effort into our live sound/show in order to put on the best performance we can.

What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
As of right now Vesperia will be working on recording a new full length album. We are also currently booking a tour for the fall where we will be hitting the east coast to promote the release of The Iron Tempest our latest demo.

Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
You can listen to our music on our website or on our youtube account. If you like what you hear you can purchase it on our website or on our bandcamp page. Most importantly we sell our merch at our shows so come out and check out our live performance and if you like what you see/hear then we will gladly sell you something at our merch table.
